Drabble

A/N: So, this is what I’m doing out of boredom. I’m in my house, embracing my faithful laptop, with no one to bother me. Sounds like a paradise, hm? Right… you have no idea what I have gone through this whole week… maybe I could share to you some of my experience? I’ll write it in story-drabble form, and for my and my friend’s sake, I’ll change a few names and situation. Here you go…

Story-Drabble

Outta This Stalked Life

No way…” I curse, both mentally and physically at what I see. It’s him again! Downstairs, arms folded in position of waiting someone. Unfortunately, that someone is just happened to be me. Of all people, why me?!

“Sei! You mustn’t go down!” I turned my head as I notice one of my friends, Merry, makes her half running way towards me, tripping a group of socialist girls in her haste.

“Ouch, I’m terribly sorry!” She mutters quick apologies at those wincing girls, before turning her attention back to me and speak; her voice is filled with undeniable concern.

“He’s here! Downstairs! Undoubtedly waiting for you!”

I sigh, “I know that. Just happened to notice that bastard when I came to my locker. Has some guts to finally show off, doesn’t he? After I let his mails went unanswered and getting missed calls twenty two times in a row, he finally decided to meet me in person, eh? And how many times I should tell him that I REFUSE??” I practically shout out of frustration.

This is getting crazy. I just had this entire week filled with competitions—of course, I need a lot of certificate to get scholarship for college and participating in competitions would be the best way to get it. My head aches enough. As if I need more disturbances.

My friend Ryan advised me not to treat that kind of guy harshly, because he might be dangerous. That kind of guy need to be rejected softly. Now my question is: am I not soft enough??

“You’re too soft. A scumbag like him deserves to be loathed.”

It’s, undoubtedly, said by Jazz, one of my most trustable friends. Mysterious and silent, Jazz isn’t the type of hanging around with girls of her age. Instead, she prefers locking herself up in her bedroom and pouring out her ideas into paper. Since we share the same preference, we become friends. And not to mention, she was previously stalked by the guy who is stalking me now. More reason why I cling onto her.

“Err… I don’t think Sei would go that far,” Merry hastily added. She is always getting nervous when Jazz is around. Menacing aura? Possibly.

“For that stupid, good-for-nothing-bastard, anything will do,” Jazz said grimly, shrinking Merry at once.

“I’ve always told Sei that she’s way to soft. If I were Sei, I would have slapped that sick stalker over his horny face.”

I would have laugh if it’s not for the drastic situation, “Oh, and this comes from a girl who didn’t even realize that she’s getting stalked if somebody hadn’t told her?” I teased, enjoying the look on Jazz’s face.

“Ignorance is a bless,” she replies coldly, “I prefer being oblivious to that stupid guy so that I could reject him more naturally and NOT getting stalked the rest of my life as you do.”

That’s it. Sometimes her mouth really is terrible. I open my mouth to retort when my cellphone rings, revealing a text message;

‘Sei, be careful! He’s downstairs! Don’t go down!!

Chris’

I flip my phone back and pocket it, sighing.

“It’s him?” Merry asked, concern fills her eyes.

“Nope. It’s Chris. Warning me about that stupid guy.”

My eyes widened as another ring comes. This time it’s a phone call. I take a look at the number—a new habit I gain if I don’t want to pick an ‘unwanted’ phone call.

It’s Meg, my friend. Thank goodness.

I pick it up.

“Hello?”

“Oh, Sei? It’s me, Meg! Uhm… Are you down?”

“No, not yet.”

“Thank goodness. Stay upstairs, Sei. Downstairs’ not safe. He’s…”

“I know. Thanks for the warning.”

“Ok then. Be careful, will you?”

“You too. Thanks a lot.”

I turned the conversation off as I stared at Merry and Jazz, “I have four people worrying about me. I thank the heavens.” I spoke oh-so-cheerfully.

Jazz snorted, “This isn’t funny. What are you going to do now?”

I played the phone with my fingers, “Uhm… I’ll be having an extra so that will be a good excuse if I am to avoid meeting to him…”

RIIIINGGG!!!

The three of us jump as my phone rings again. I hastily pick it up after making sure that it wasn’t from that stalker. It’s a message.

‘Sei, I’m feeling a bit unwell. Please tell the others that today there won’t be any extras.

Mr. Noel’

I curse again as I shove my phone into my bag. Great. Now I have no excuses!

“What is it?” Merry asked worriedly.

“Mr. Noel’s ill. Now I won’t be having extra.” I screw my head in frustration, “What am I supposed to do?? I can’t stay upstairs forever!!”

Merry and Jazz just stare at me, as if it will help. Fortunately, the help comes from the most unlikely person.

“Oi, Sei! Meet us in the classroom now! We will be having a meeting about class’ financial problem and our year ending trip!” Rick, my class leader, appears out from nowhere and pats my back, practically shoving me into the class.

I stare at him in disbelief before mentally whoop of joy.

“Rite on, Rick!”

Filled with new determination, I turn my attention back to Merry and Jazz, with unmistakable wide grin in my face.

“I’ll stay upstairs for time I don’t know. You two will be having extras. Could you please watch that guy’s movement for me? Find me a safe route to go, ‘kay?”

Merry just blinked at me. Jazz, on the other hand, smirked.

“Roger. Geez, it feels like trying to escape a police-wanted person…”

I smack her back playfully.

“Don’t say that! Okay guys, phones standby!”

And so, the curtain unfolds to a hopeless battle…

‘to be continued…’

A/N: That’s it. Too lazy to type the rest ^^ One thing for sure, this is ACTUALLY happened. If I get one or two reviews I might continue this; coz if not I might start thinking that I’m talking to myself T_T

So if you want to know how I escaped that guy’s wrathful hands you better REVIEW!! Flames are even welcome, as soon as they don’t start flame war on my review box. Geez…
